CVS CAREMARK CHARITY CLASSIC OFFERS PARTICIPANTS CHANCE TO WIN MORE THAN THE COVETED TITLE

Variety of On-Course Challenges Increase Competition

WOONSOCKET, RHODE ISLAND (June 11, 2008) -- In addition to competing for the $1.5 million purse, professional golfers in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic will be vying for a variety of other prizes throughout the two-day tournament at the Rhode Island Country Club June 23-24. Amateurs in the Sunday, June 22 Pepsi Pro-Am also get a chance to get in on the action.

Here's a look at the enhanced tournament challenges designed to add even more excitement to the champion-level of play:

  • Pro-Am Hole-In-One Contest
    Sentient Jets, the Official Private Jet of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour, is adding a fun - and lucrative - challenge to the 17th hole during the Pepsi Pro-Am on Sunday, June 22. If a participating amateur hits a hole-in-one on the par-3 hole, Sentient will award the golfer $25,000 as well as make a $25,000 contribution to the tournament's partner charities.
  • Drive Like A Pro
    Throughout tournament play, the first professional golfer in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic's impressive field that makes a hole-in-one will drive away with a limited-edition NASCAR 60th Year commemorative motorcycle. This exclusive, custom and numbered Thunder Mountain Custom Cycles motorcycle is one of only 60 built, making it a true original.
  • Neutrogena Longest Drive Contest
    The professional golfer with the longest drive on the 15th hole throughout the two days of play will receive $5,000 from Neutrogena.
  • Energizer Skins Competition
    The tournament's 10 two-person teams will again compete in the annual Energizer Skins Competition. The competition offers $25,000 to the winning team each day.

Family Fun
New to the historic tournament is the CVS Caremark Charity Classic Kids' Zone featuring a variety of fun and interactive activities including a putting contest, Dancing Dogg Golf swing simulators, face painting and more.

In this cool, kid-friendly area, attendees get a chance to see the Boston Red Sox's 2007 Major League Baseball World Championship Trophy up-close-and-personal and hang out with some of the area's most popular mascots including Wally the Green Monster, Paws, Rhody Ram, The PC Friar, MLS' New England Revolution's Slyde and 93.3 Coast FM's Tunes the Turtle. Kids can pose with the trophy and mascots for free keepsake photos.

As part of the tournament's special ticket promotion, kids under 12 accompanied by a ticketed adult enter free. Free tickets to the annual CVS Caremark Charity Classic golf tournament are available with the purchase of qualifying products at all Rhode Island CVS/pharmacy stores and participating locations in neighboring Southeastern Massachusetts.

Opening Ceremony Takes Flight
The special CVS Caremark Charity Classic 10th Anniversary Opening Ceremony on Monday, June 23 at 9:30 a.m. will feature the amazing Red Bull Air Force team. This high-flying team will dazzle attendees with their spectacular mid-air acrobatics before they glide onto the Rhode Island Country Club's 18th fairway. It will be a dramatic kick-off to what promises to be an outstanding tournament.
