Most of us do sacrifice for the soul purpose of helping others. However I've come to realize there are many things that prevent people from doing so, such as mortgage, horrific gas prices, etc. I respect these golfers because they are donating so much and taking on the daunting responsibility that looms over them head on. They take pride in what they do each day. However, although they may possess extraordinary skill, they do not boast or ever act arrogant.
Some donate millions to children charities. The tournament hosts, Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon, have to be the most generous of the bunch. Their efforts to pull together these events are much appreciated not by just the golfers, but especially those who benefit from these charities. 1.7 million dollars was raised for charity. The ten year life of the CVS Classic proves the dedication of the sponsors, hosts, and golfers. I honor these golfers because they are true role models. They are extremely meticulous with every shot they make. They have a goal, and they strive to achieve it.
I could see the momentum begin to build up quickly in the crowd. Piercing eyes gazed at each golfer at the tee-off in anticipation. They studied the golf ball carefully. I was literally scared to sneeze. In all the experience was incredible. I loved every moment of excitement. I really liked seeing Rocco Mediate. He was so quiet and friendly…and modest of course. I see him as a good influence.
