Johnson, the 2007 Masters Champion, became interested in golf at the early age of 10. In the summer of 2008, when heavy floods hit the Midwest, Johnson became the spokesman of a public service announcement and held a one-day golf event in his home town, Cedar Rapids, IA which raised $350,000. Johnson also helped to start the PGA TOUR Flood Relief Effort, which donated $125,000 to the cause. But Johnson’s community involvement did not stop there. In 2010, Johnson announced the formation of the Zach Johnson Foundation, which will benefit children in need. The kick-off event will be the Zach Johnson Foundation Classic in Cedar Rapids on August 1, 2011. Johnson has had a busy season on the green. He entered 25 tournaments and had three Top 10 finishes. Johnson also picked up his seventh career win at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. He earned his fifth trip to THE TOUR Championship, where he finished 17th. This will be Johnson’s third time playing in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic.
