Five Golfers Round Out 2012 CVS Caremark Charity Classic Roster

BARRINGTON, RHODE ISLAND (May 29, 2012) – CVS Caremark Charity Classic co-hosts Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade today unveiled the final five professional golfers participating in the charity golf tournament scheduled for June 17-19 at Rhode Island Country Club. LPGA pros Cristie Kerr and Brittany Lincicome join seven other fellow LPGA stars bringing the total number of women golfers participating in the 2012 event to nine – the largest in tournament history.   Rounding out the men’s field is golf legend Nick Price as well as native Rhode Islanders and hometown favorites Dana Quigley and Brett Quigley, both of whom grew up playing at Rhode Island Country Club.

Kerr and Lincicome bring strong credentials and play to the field which now features the current 1st (Yani Tseng), 3rd (Suzann Petterson), 5th (Kerr), 12th (Lincicome), 19th (Morgan Pressel) and 25th (Lexi Thompson) ranked players in the world. The top-talent list also includes three golfers who have formerly held the #1 ranking in Sorenstam, Ochoa and Inkster.  The CVS Caremark Charity Classic uniquely offers sports enthusiasts the chance to enjoy world-class golf in a relaxed atmosphere while helping to support hundreds of New England area charities. Open to attendees ages 21 or older, the Wine Pavilion is located between the 16th and 17th fairways along Narragansett Bay and offers daily food and wine samplings provided by award-winning Robert Mondavi, Clos Du Bois and Blackstone wines. Offering spectacular, close-up views of tournament play, tickets to the pavilion tent are $50 per day.
