Matt Kuchar

Biography

PGA Tour leading money winner, Matt Kuchar, has been hooked on golf since he first tried it with his father at the age of 12. Kuchar's first win on the PGA Tour came at the 2002 Honda Classic. Seven years after his first PGA Tour win, Kuchar won for a second time during the 2009 Fall Series at the Turning Stone Resort Championship in a playoff victory over Vaughn Taylor. Kuchar, who has the PGA Tour leading stroke average, has been featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings. In the 2010 season, Kuchar played in 26 tournaments, winning the Barclays, coming in second in the Bob Hope Classic, and third in three other tournaments. Following the best season of his career, Kuchar has already played in three tournaments in 2011 and has ranked in the Top 25 in all three. This year will be Kuchar’s third appearance in the CVS Caremark Charity Classic.
